FAQs

  • When: Book club meetings will be held Tuesdays at 8pm Eastern from Tuesday, July 2nd to Tuesday, August 27th. 
  • What book: La Casa en Mango Street. Students are responsible for getting a copy of the book. If you have a Kindle, I recommend reading on Kindle to help with looking up vocab and seeing translations of parts that are challenging. 
  • What level: Intermediate-Advanced students welcome. Not recommended for students who have been studying Spanish for less than a year. Not recommended for students who have not yet learned the two past tenses (imperfect & preterit) 
  • Are meetings recorded? Yes, all meetings will be recorded and posted the next day. 
  • How much are we reading?: The book is ~100 pages and book club will run for 9 weeks. You will be reading 10-12 pages weekly.
